Vehicle Detail
Hey guys,This is a 1970 Pontiac Grand Prix Model J, with the 400ci V8 and 4 barrel carburetor. This car runs like a top and starts first time, every time. Drove this car everywhere this summer, some trips several hours long. 2.90 gears make it dream to cruise in. THE TITLE IS NOT REBUILT, eBay just doesn't have a spot for no title. Will be sold on Bill of Sale. Please see last paragraph for more details on the title. I will be getting the VIN number for the car soon. Again, it's currently in storage. I will also take some interior photos. The car has had a ton of work done to it in the years before I bought it, including:Brand new Quadrajet carburetor.Manifold to tailpipe 2.5" GTO style exhaust, with x pipe and dual mufflersComplete rebuild of the factory power disc brake front and drum rear brake setupAmerican Racing AR23 wheelsDuralast Gold BatteryFan bladeRadiatorMost of the suspension was replaced with new parts, springs, shocks, all thatMost of the steering components were replaced as well, car tracks 100% straight I also believe the landau top was replaced but I don't have a receipt for that. Very nice top, and there doesn't appear to be any rust underneath.Car has original paint and as such the paint is not perfect but I personally prefer that and find it ads to the charm. The interior is 100% perfect except for two rips in the driver's seat. Pretty sure the landau top is a replacement, as it's almost perfect as well. Doesn't seem to be any rust under the top like most landau top cars have. Odometer is currently showing around 10800, and given the condition of the car I would guess that the odometer has only been around once. I believe 110,800 is the correct mileage for the car. The odometer does work. The mileage is steady for now because it's currently in storage for winter but could easily be pulled back out if a trade or sale does happen. It is stored with a full tank of gas, and Sta-Bil so I doubt you'll have any issues with it upon it's exit from storage. The problems the car has are these:Carburetor needs cleaning. The car sat for a little while before I purchased it. This causes a slight bog when leaving from a stop, but the car pulls hard once it gets going. Minor issue, I promise you it will not stop you from enjoying this car.Clock in the dash is stuck at 5:00. It's 5:00 somewhere, and that somewhere is in my car.Car does not need to sell. I enjoy the car and have more than enough space for it. Just always been more of a Mopar guy than a GM guy and I'm looking to make the switch. Vehicle shipping, if any, is the sole responsibility of the purchaser, both as it relates to cost and arrangement. I will accrue no costs for shipping this vehicle, and will assist in no way in shipping the vehicle, aside from driving it on the truck if required. There is no warranty on this vehicle. Car does not have a title as it is not required for cars of this age in the state of New Hampshire. Will be sold with a Bill of Sale. Most states make obtaining a title for cars from NH very easy but please check with your local DMV/ RMV to be sure prior to bidding. Deposit of $1,000 is required within 48 hours of winning the auction, and full payment is required within 7 days of auction end. If you cannot make a $1,000 deposit within 48 hours, or full payment within 7 days, please do not bid. Thank you and happy bidding. On Dec-08-16 at 16:20:02 PST, seller added the following information: Added a copy of my registration to the post to show the VIN number. The VIN is 276570A116389. I also added a picture of the front seats. Please let me know if there's any other photos I can get for you. The car has been in storage for probably two months now and the interior light came on immediately when I opened the door, so the battery is very good too. Like I said in my original ad, start it up and drive it anywhere. On Dec-12-16 at 17:19:27 PST, seller added the following information: Gonna try posting these this way and hopefully it works. Here's a just general picture of the engine. Has a lot of chrome dressup parts. Edelbrock air cleaner, chrome valve covers, chrome valve cover bolts, and a chrome dipstick is what I can think of right off hand. I apologize for the quality of the photos but I had a dark garage and a flashlight. Somewhere along the way someone added to the shroud so it's closer to the engine than stock to keep it cool. I've never had issues with it overheating, even idling in temperatures in excess for 100 degrees.
