Vehicle Detail

1970 Plymouth Roadrunner. All original with the exception of a cheap paint job. This is a true garage find. Got the car from estate owner that has owned the car since 1980. It has been in a garage at his mothers home since 1994. The car retains its original 383 & 4speed. Verified by me, the engine pad stamping are F383 which is 1970 383 and the casting date of 8/21 the car was built on 8/27 as per the original fender tag. And 'HP' is also stamped on the pad for high performance. The last 9 digits of the vin are stamped on the block & trans were they should be. Also the 6 digits are stamped on the trunk lip. The vin tag on the dash is present and has correct rivets. The fender tag is original and is a Lynch road built car. No build sheet. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL ROADRUNNERThe car is code FE5 bright red & has the deluxe black & silver trimmed interior. The paint job was poorly done. And some dummy painted the engine bay black. There is a couple small holes in the front floor pan, not real bad. the middle trunk center is week. Not original is the exhaust, carburetor, intake, & distributor. It has a exhaust leak. The air grabber hood is in beautiful shape, I don't think it came factory. The interior is above average. The seats are still soft and the material is real nice. Mice did get in to the back seat 3 spots, not terrible. And both back corner of the headliner need some work. I planned on just patching the holes. The dash is nice as well as the door panels. All the windows go up & down, Now for the good frame rails are good as well as the rear bumper attachment. Rockers fenders quarters, inner hood is very solid. the rear window is above average. All the trim & chrome are there and are in good shape. So when I got the car, put a new fuel pump on, gas tank, plugs, wires & holly carburetor. Had a set of rally wheels put on it. Put a master cylinder & a back wheel cylinder on.Car drives pretty good. To sum it up. I have a very desirable car. A numbers matching 383 4speed. This car is begging to be restored or just drive it for now. I thought I could restore it. But I just don't have the time. I have explained the car as I see it.
