1928 Model A Phaeton You are invited to bid on one of Henry Ford's First Model As Built in 1928. This automobile the automotive revolution that took place following the ground-breaking Model T, the first mass produced automobile, built by the Ford company. This Auction is of a hybrid version of the original 1928 Phaeton, completely restored under the guidance of a well known East Coast Model A judge. This car was built to look for reliability and safety. During the restoration, the automobile received a set of hubs, wheels and break system form a 1932 Ford. Further upgrades to the ignition system were installed and the 6-volt electrical system was upgraded to 12-volts. Lastly, a 5-bladed metallic fan was added. Thus with the addition of the upgrades this beautiful automobile this automobile was upgraded in safety and reliability. This car has been set up as a to be used as a reliable promotional vehicle for use as in a parade or commercial function. Engine is running strong and does not burn oil, transmission and clutch work perfectly, as does the rear end and front. The general condition of this automobile is not a factor of its age as much a factor of its use, since the restoration the car has only been driven a few-hundred miles therefore the car shows minimal wear. The Paint is excellent, as is the top and the upholstery, the glass is clear, all lights work and are bright, undercarriage is clean and free of dirt or grime.
