1998 Red/Cream Honda Valkyrie Tourer with only 12712 miles. Bike runs well and I have gone through just about all of the old rubber parts on this bike. The tires on the bike are old, but I am including a brand new set of Avon Cobras ready to be mounted. Battery has just been replaced. Also included are a copy of the service manual, a Hayne's manual and an aftermarket Corbin drivers and passenger seat. The bike has cosmetic issues such as surface rust and some pitting on some of the chrome, windshield faded, and the original paint has some scratches and marks. The bike is priced low because of these cosmetic issues. There aren't many of these tourers around with less than 15k miles. Some of the major items I have gone through and fixed are below:Replaced some engine gaskets such as water pump gasket, transmission cover gasket and clutch cover gasket.Removed and completely stripped down the carbs, cleaned, and rebuilt with new rubber parts.Replaced the battery.Replaced rear suspension rubber grommets.Removed, tore down, and rebuilt both forks with new seals and fluid.Replaced steering head bearings.Removed rear wheel and swingarm to inspect and repack with moly grease.Rebuilt clutch master cylinder with new parts.Rebuilt front brake master cylinder with new parts and inspected front calipers.Replaced fuel petcock.Removed and inspected alternator and starter motor.There are other things, but I can't remember them all right now. Mechanical issues I found and haven't been fixed are that the rear master cylinder has an air bubble in it that I could not bleed out, so the rear brakes do not work, and it also needs a new rear turn signal bulb. The tires need to be replaced (new tires are included with the sale). The first picture was from a ride around the block before I put the windshield back on so that I could test that the bike shifts through all of the gears. As I said, the bike runs well, and it is priced this low due to the cosmetic issues. Good project for someone who wants to clean her up a bit. I am willing to work with the buyer if they arrange for a shipping company to come pick up the bike. All expenses with shipping the bike and extra parts are at the added expense of the buyer. Local pickup preferred.
