Up for auction is a 1975 Mercedes-Benz 300D. This car belonged to my father who bought it with 9k in 1975. The engine was rebuilt at 91K and the odometer is showing 125K. The engine runs smoothly considering it has been garaged since his death 17 years ago. In fact, he always kept it garaged although it does have minor rust below the running boards, which I sand blasted and painted and surface rust in the truck. I did take it for a ride last weekend but, it is going to need tires and a master cylinder in order to be road worthy.The transmission seems to slip from time to time. It was fine last when we it was last used so it may just need service. It does have its nicks and dents here and there and the interior will need some work. Also the a/c and the radio do not work.
