Due to losing dry storage space, we're looking to find our Elite a new home. We acquired this bike about three years ago with about 1300 miles. We have always considered this example to be an extremely reliable daily rider. During our ownership, we have replaced several maintenance items and have upgraded several components to improve performance and overall reliability. These items include: -New Bridgestone MOLAS-9 Tires (3.5-10)-New brake shoes, front and rear-Upgraded to CH250 carburetor with the appropriate jetting-UNI pod filter-Governor removed from exhaust-New clutch assembly-Racing variator, drive face-Dr. Pulley slider weights With the upgrades, top speed has increased by over 10mph. Highway acceleration and pull is more than adequate. However, I wouldn't recommend prolonged highway use, as the braking system overheats quickly while at speed. Otherwise, drivability is for the most part, unchanged. Aside from what's listed above, the bike is original and unchanged. We're not in a huge hurry to move this bike on, so we don't mind waiting for the right buyer. The scooter is also listed locally, so we reserve the right to terminate the auction prior to ending.
