Vehicle Detail

Hi, you are bidding on a VERY nice, just restored 85 GT! The story with the car is that it was originally purchased by a little old lady that lived in Florida, she then moved to Tennesee, and then on to Bakersfield, Ca. where she passed in 2010 and I purchased it from her son who kept it in his back yard, where the paint had suffered from all the sun that it was exposed to over the years. Upon arrival in Michigan, I began a full on restoration of the car as it was still in very nice shape, and best of all 100% rust free!! We sourced a 8.8 rear with 3.73 gears, new aftermarket upper and lower control arms, 50/50 Lakewood drag shocks, in the rear and 70/30 Lakewood front struts, being a T-Top car we naturally tied the frame as well. The motor is bone stock and the air just started running low on Freon, and will need a charge. The only changes under the hood is a set of BBK full length headers, new 10.5 inch flywheel firewall cable adjuster and Ram clutch was also installed. After the drivetrain upgrades were done we tore the car down to get a fresh coat of Light Regatta Blue. We took the car down to bare metal and completely dismantled it with the exception of the glass, and it came out great!! While the interior was out, we put down some Dynamat and some new carpet from NPD, and a new dash pad as well. I prefer the 3 spoke wheel so I removed the original cruise wheel but that will be included, I also added the Motorsport 140 speedometer and Hurst shifter. With all the sun the car was exposed to over the years we replaced all the weatherstrip in the car including the T-Tops. The car turned out great, I also found a pair of N.O.S. fog light covers, the fog lights do not currently work, but I also have a pair of N.O.S. fog light assembly that I will include with buy it now ONLY!! I believe the ones in the car just need bulbs, the only things that the car needs is a new headliner and some adjusting on the windows for proper fit with the new weatherstrip. The wheels and tires are Weld 15X3/12 with front runners NEW and the rears are 15X10 with a 6 1/2 B.S. with Mickey Thompson drag radials 28-10.5 tires the rears are bald and were for mock up ONLY! It will need new rear tires for the welds, but I am including the original 10 holes with good tires also, the motor has never been out of the car and the engine bay was going to be done while I put together a new 331 for the car, but plans have changed and a house has come up that I want and I must sell this car as much as I don't want to, it has to go!!! The RESERVE IS PRETTY MUCH WHAT I HAVE INTO THE PAINT!!!! Please call Tony at 734-320-7785 with any questions...Professional delivery possible up to 500 miles, good luck and happy bidding!!!!
