1981 VW Vanagon Westfalia full camper. Runs and drives well. Within the last few years, brakes were done, rubber fuel lines were replaced, fuel filter replaced, tune up with new wires cap and rotor. The fuel infection was removed at some point and now runs on a carburetor….much simpler fuel delivery. Body is solid with a few bubbles here and there…see pics for those areas. The only actual rust through is on the driver’s side behind the front tire. Undercarriage is very solid…see pictures. Good: Rear seat and rear cushion over engine hatch have been reupholstered and look great and there is enough of the same material included to reupholster the front seats. Starts right away and runs well. Cabinets in great shape. Sink works from both municipal water supply and holding tank. Stove works but tank needs a refill now Tires have lots of tread. Pop-up canvas in perfect shape with no holes. Rear hatch screen and all curtains in great shape. Spare tire and jack are there. Both tables are there. Items needing attention: Front seats need reupholstering. Few rust bubbles on body and hole on driver’s side as mentioned above. Needs a good waxing/polishing. Shift linkage may need adjusting….sometimes hard to find 1st gear, but only after going into reverse. Once 1st gear is found, it always shifts fine for all 4 gears so you won’t get stranded…but this should be addressed. As I think of more things, good or bad, I will update the listing. This Westy is 35 years old, so expect all of the normal wear and tear of a vehicle that age. Clear NY title in hand. The CA plates on the van are there to satisfy the town, since it is not currently on the road.
