1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 Reeder Chevrolet is proud to offer this PHS documented and rare 1979 L78 WS6 Trans Am. The market for clean Smokey and The Bandit Trans Ams is very hot and this Pontiac is in very good condition with the most sought after options. This Trans Am is stock in appearance other than an after market Kenwood radio and rear deck speakers. It features the highly sought after L78 6.6 Litre Pontiac engine mated to a factory 4 Speed Manual Transmission, C60 factory Air Conditioning (blows cold), CC1 Factory T-Tops, and WS6 Special Performance Package. The exterior is (19) Starlight Black as it was when it left the factory and the interior has been converted from Black interior to Camel. The Hood Bird decal (Screaming Chicken) and the other decals are in very good condition. Other options include C49 Rear window defroster, A01 Soft Ray Glass, BS1 additional insulation, and TR9 Lamp group. The Trans AM had AU3 Power Door Locks, A31 Power Windows, and N33 Tilt Wheel Steering when it was originally built but the restorer left those options off when the car was reworked. The car was sold new at Ed Schmidt Pontiac in Toledo Ohio. Mechanically, the Trans AM performs great in all areas. This car has been properly maintained and cared for. The previous adult owner traded this and a 2015 Z06 for a new 2017 Corvette Stingray Grand Sport. The previous owner had Burt Reynolds sign a glove box this year when he was in Knoxville to shoot the movie, "Dog Years". The body and paint on the Trans AM are in good condition with very few flaws. The interior shows some signs of wear but is in good condition. There are no signs of rust including under the doors. The Snowflake Aluminum Wheels are in very good condition and the tires have very little wear. This Trans Am will make a very good weekend driver or with a little TLC will make a show car. It has all the correct sought after PHS documented options and is very mechanically sound. These cars continue to go up in price and this one will make the next owner proud.
