This is the 1979 Honda CBX motorcycle that you have been looking for! I acquired this beautiful motorcycle from my loving father-in-law approximately 20 years ago as a wedding gift. This is the motorcycle that I learned to ride on and have been riding since. This Honda CBX has jet coated Super Trapp 6 into 2 exhaust system, Kosman Swingarm, stock tire on the front polished rim and 18" tire on the rear polished rims. The Honda motor mounts, oil cooler brackets, master cylinder cover, and dip stick in billet aluminum. The CBX has stainless steel brake lines, sport kit handle bars, Pingel Petcock, Pingel pilot circuit plus, K&N air filter, and NGK spark plug caps. This Honda has polished crank covers, sprocket covers, pan covers, and oil cooler. To get this Honda CBX to be like new for the next owner it recently had a carb rebuild, carb sync, fuel filter, brake fluid bleed and flush to the front and rear, lube and adjustment of cables and chains, accessory pump diameter set, new float needles, and new float gaskets installed. A new Metzler 160/60/18 rear tire was mounted also. The Honda CBX does have color fading to the front turn signals and fading and cracking present to the rear turn signals. There is minor surface rust present to the brackets located behind the carbs on the right side which became present following residency in Southern California. There is also a crack present in the plastic in the left rear section of the seat assembly. This is shown in the two pictures above. The fourth gear has some bad "dogs" on it so you can ride fourth gear normally, but can't rev it too high before you have to upshift or downshift out of it. This gear has been in that condition for the 20 years that I have owned the bike. Please contact me with any questions.
