Vehicle Detail
I've been a Factory trained Suzuki mechanic for over 30 years. Over 20 of that doing performance work . I bought this bike in boxes left in local storage building . The bike has been rebuilt one bolt at a time from front to back . The front forks leaked so I rebuilt them with new Suzuki seals & oil. Chain & sprockets were replaced with new ones. Carbs were leaking so I replaced all bowl gaskets , O-rings , cleaned carbs , installed performance kit , and new air filters . Petcock was bad , so it got a new one . Now for the fun part , motor was locked up from water entering combustion chamber and stuck rings . SO . . . Starting at bottom and working up . I sent Crank to Marine Crank and had it Magnafluxed , checked for straightness , and journals polished . replaced all main & rod bearings with new . Had M.R.E. check transmission and undercut 2nd gear . install perfect shift drum & forks . Clutches & fibers were fine , but installed heavy duty clutch spring set to handle extra Horse Power . Cylinder was bored & decked for a 78mm piston kit. Making it a 1146cc , up from stock 1052cc. New spring steal Cometic head gasket . Then head was ported & polished and did a fresh 3 angle valve job . Finally adjustable gears were added so cams could be degreed in . This motor is brand new , I've only cranked it a few times to fine tune carbs . Haven't even ridden bike ,it's still in house where it was put together . The body work is original paint and is in great shape . (not perfect ) but nice . There are a few nicks and dents but you really have to look to find them . I've been working on this thing for over 2 years and I think it turned out pretty good . This is a 1998 bike from top to bottom but it came with a bill of sale not a title . So I bought a 1993 frame with a clear title and put bike together on 93 frame . The 98 bare frame goes with bike when you buy it , if you want it ? I hope that makes sense ? Hope I covered everything ? I've been selling on E-Bay for over 10 years and never had a negative feedback , so bid with confidence .
