I am selling my 1988 560SL that is a 3 OWNER car. The car was originally purchased in Texas and was brought to Florida, were the original owner lived until his death. At this time a retired school principle that lived in the same marina/condo complex purchased it from his children. The second owner was moving to a new place that only had a 1 car garage and wanted to sell. I have owned the car for about 18 months. This is an absolute perfect driver 560SL. I looked at about 30 SL's before finding this one and you can find $30,000 extreme low mileage cars and $8000 beaters, but almost impossible to find a 560SL in this type condition for less than about $20k. It has had no paint work done any where and obviously has original paint on all panels. The car has zero issues, no leaks, no drips, no squeaks, no rattles and no rust. The previous owner had the front and rear suspension redone with new bushings and tie rods, the car drives perfectly tight and straight. You can take your hands off the wheel at 80mph and it stays straight and true. I had the AC system completely replaced with all new parts, compressor included.. I also had the fuel system gone through and installed a new radiator to keep the car cool here in Florida during the summer running the AC. The only two knocks on this beauty is the soft top has 2 repairs in it. It is the original top and it looks perfect except for the repairs that are about 6 inches long, good clear plastic and did not leak the one time I got caught in a shower. The other is a small repair to the front drivers seat that is about an inch long. This is an extremely rare color combination. I have seen Desert Taupe but never with chocolate interior, only saddle. It also has the rare factory installed kinder seat in the rear. You will not be disappointed in this car unless you are looking for a show car.
