This is a nice driver quality 1962 Corvette. It has become available due to health issues and downsizing. I am attempting to give a complete description and offer 24 pics for your viewing. I expect questions and will give honest answers and descripton of this nice car. Contact me on 901 277-3678 with questions. It is next to impossible to find a Vette like this for the money asked. They just don't come up like this for the money. This is an opportunity to drive and enjoy a complete 1962 Corvette for way less than the exhorbitant prices asked. I'm using Buy it Now Auction with Best Offer which is fairest type listing. I can only give the information that I know and believe to be correct for the last 15 years and other information that was passed along. The engine is a 327/300 HP out of a 1965 Corvette. It was rebuilt at 105000 miles and at the time the odometer was set at 0. It now reads 21K miles and has gone around 8000 miles in last 15 years. It runs awesome and it is installed with shielding upper and lower. It does not have original air cleaner as you can see in pics, but I do have the air cleaner to go with car. The transmission and shifter are original and it shifts smoothly. The reverse lockout works as designed. There has been disc brakes installed on the front, it has an electric fuel pump, electric wipers and electronic iginition. There has been a new clutch and a heater core. It has a 600 carburetor now and all of these things mentioned have all been done in the last 15 years. It got new wheels, Cragar Wires, and Tires several years ago and give Vette nice stance and look. There are 4 steel wheels and Original Spinner Hubcaps that go with the car. This Vette has not seen rain in last 15 years and the frame looks like that has always been the case. No rust, very dry and no leakage. Cosmetically all of the bright work and chrome pieces are there. The ones around the grill are newer. The Chrome Bumpers are nice and qualify as driver quality as opposed to show. The interior is very nice with newer carpet and floor mats. Seats and door panels very good and seat moves for adustment. The interior is missing the tray. All knobs on doors and shifter and pads have been replaced. Also has newer smaller steering wheel which is great for driving and getting in and out and the original goes with car. The convertible top is nice and the back window is clear(see pic). Also, all four clamps work to hold top in place. All of the gauges work with the temp gauge being external from dash. Speedometer, Tachometer, and Odometer all work and all lights and electical work to include turn signals, bright lights, brake lights and horn. The radio also plays but will not win any awards! The paint is the main reason this is a driver quality Vette. It is a good 15 footer, but there are several touchups and small cracks visible. I have taken pics of several to demonstrate. I don not know when this car was last painted but it still shines nicely other than the few blemishes. Please call at 901 277-3678 to discuss.
