Vehicle Detail
For sale here is a 1995 F-150 Flareside 4x4 that has a straight axle swap fully completed! The lift on the truck was purchased in parts incrementally and not a lift kit. I have owned this vehicle for over five years and has always been a project of mine. In the last year though I have been occupied with work and other toys and this has just sat ever since then. I am going to do my best to highlight the pros and cons of this truck, but if you have any concerns or questions please contact me before bidding. This truck has power windows and locks and a key fob that works great. Separate keys for the locks and ignition. The A/C has always worked terrific and is freezing cold. The heater works well as well. All the glass is good- no cracks anywhere. No rips in the interior, just some dirty spots. This truck has always had rust on the front quarter panels and above the windshield. Despite the rusty spots on the truck- the paint still has a lot of good shine. Brakes work great, stops on a dime. The straight axle in the truck is a D44 out of a 1978 bronco. I used radius arm extensions that were welded on to make this a long arm lift. I used deaver springs on the front so this truck has a very nice ride to it. I put 4.88 gears in the truck front and back. I used 7 degree c-bushings on the front axle and all new shocks, bushings, and U-joints. The rear driveshaft was extended to be long enough. The rear end is lifted with all spring- no blocks and there are 6 inch lift springs. The truck has a brand new alternator, battery and gas tank within the last 100 miles of drive. The wheels are Pro Comp 15x10 polished aluminum with grabber tires for three and the 4th is the closest I could match to that. Could go bigger on the tires if the next owner desired but it has 35’s on it now which fit nicely. So having not even started this truck for over a year- I got it running with a simple battery charge and want to be up front with what I can tell is wrong with it because this 21 year old vehicle is being sold as is. I drove this successfully from Omaha to Lincoln round trip (totaling over 100 miles) and here is what I found. -Radio does not work, doesn’t even power on- worked fine when I parked it -needs alignment- I just have never had this done since doing the front end work- drives nice enough -check engine light is one for some emissions sensor- never messed with, truck runs fine These are the major issues I noticed, I just do not have the time to work with this truck anymore and need the real estate it is currently sitting on for other things. I could go on and on about the money I have invested into the suspension but anyone interested already knows. This thing could make a great daily driver or weekend toy. If it does not find a home in the next 7 days I will likely fix things listed and try again. Truck gets a lot of attention and waves, it’s like every day is a parade driving this thing. Please feel free to ask questions.
