Vehicle Detail
8-20-16 NOTIFICATION: If you are at all interested in this vehicle, it is in your best interest to purchase it during this last listing. My husband has done research and crunched the numbers and has found that by parting out this perfectly good truck, we can do much better on our return although it may take more time to sell everything. He's had experience and knows that it's not good for a vehicle to be left idle for a long period of time. Apologize but we want to give you the heads up on what's to happen to this vehicle after this listing is up and no sale since we both feel it's been on the market long enough. We would like to hear from anyone out there that is looking for parts off a vehicle such as this one which is in excellent running condition. This would give us an idea of what to start listing first. Everything in the photos will be parted out and sold. This listing is the first time the "autocheck" came up and surprisingly has a low score. Low score is more than likely due to the accidents which did NOT happen while we owned it. The accidents must have been pretty minor because there is NO evidence of any that we have ever noticed. Perspective buyers, remember you still have the option to decline the purchase after taking a good hard look at the truck and your deposit WILL be refunded should you decline the purchase. It has in fact been a damn good truck in spite of it's autocheck score. We don't see it as a loss though, but rather some potential buyers loss. We are also in fact serious about parting it out to get more out of it but just don't look forward to the extra work plus the shame of having to do such a thing to a perfectly running, fully equipped vehicle. The parting out will not take place until sales of major parts have gone though first so there may be time to reconsider and give a call to check the vehicle out first hand. And just to let you know, we have done no work to the engine or tranny other than oil changes during the time we owned it. Most work has been done on the drive train which is in top notch shape at this time, any 4X4 is not maintenance free but this one is for good while. To keep the cost of the vehicle the same, I have to post this truck on my wife's e-bay account, I am lone77eagle with a 100% feedback of over 1170 Feel free to check out my selling feedbacks We have owned this vehicle for about 5 years and have had no issues or accidents, selling because of retirement. been a good vehicle and still good! The price of the truck will NOT go any lower, it books for $4200 to $4500 private sale with it's actual mileage The ladder rack system ONLY comes free using the "buy now" option When bidding starts, e-bay automatically drops the "buy now" option NOW THIS IS EASY TO FOLLOW: If bidding starts and you want the rack system, it will cost you $500. to purchase BUT COULD BE LESS because I will NOT let the total for the truck and rack system exceed the "buy now" price of $3100 (note if your winning bid is $2500 add the $500 for the rack system, you could get it all for $3000. Also note: If bidding exceeds $3100, you pay the full end bid amount and the rack system automatically comes with the purchase. So in other words, you could pay as little as $3000. BUT no more than $3100 for the truck & complete rack system. This tends to keep the "buy now" price on the table should bidding start and someone wants the rack system too. I am not out to make any money on this deal and the prices are the bottom dollar we will accept. Anyone that uses the "buy now" option and follows through with the transaction will get a free case of oil I have on hand I have for this Ford for future oil changes (I cannot use it in my other vehicles) The Rotunda tester analyzer you see in one of the photos will go with the truck purchase ONLY if the bidding exceeds $3500. and transaction is followed through as a bonus. The more you spend, the more I give, fair enough eh? Or you can buy the Rotunda for an additional $400. What does come with the Ford: Complete ladder rack system ONLY WITH THE "buy now" option otherwise available for purchase as discussed The bed Roll-UP cover The triple ball adjustable height hitch New step bars Projection headlamps (installed already) About a 1 year old $200. Optima battery Truck's condition is good to very good, no leaks but some rust, mainly the rear bumper and a manageable area on lower edge of tailgate. No need for even a brake job for a long time. The truck cab has been detailed so is clean & fresh. Truck is in need of a front end alignment. truck tracked/steered so well I had no idea it was cupping the inside edge of my good 10 ply tires. Truck has four matching 80% life left 10 ply tires. If you want to take a set of four 30% to 40% life left 5 ply tires with, you are welcome to just have them. The truck also has the :check fuel cap" light on which does NOT effect the engine, has to do with the vapor return system. If anyone has any insight on what to check here and it location on the truck, I'll be happy to do the work (vacuum lines all check good). I am a certified mechanic since 1970's and I find todays manuals a joke, no real info like they use to be. PERSONAL NOTE: Now I am retired on a fixed income and am not spending any money on this truck which again is priced as low as it's going to go. I have a few free listing to use on my wife's account with the truck priced the same and if the truck still don't sell I have the option to take it out to our farm and part it out unless I find another option. Sorry but a bit confused after seeing an 04 with over 220000 miles on it go for over $3000 and NO extras here just recently on e-bay. Yet I had over 1000 looks and 25 watchers AND NO ? on my last insertion although I did have 1 bidder that bid before they read so it got retracted. If you have doubts about the truck just ask a ? or call 618-826-3783 We're be happy to answer ? TIP if you want $100. off the "buy now" price: Find this vehicle under my husbands account (lone77eagle) 01 Ford Service Truck in Business & Industrial. First come first serve and remaining listing ends.On Aug-24-16 at 20:24:12 PDT, seller added the following information: "CHECK FUEL CAP" LIGHT SOLVED & FIXED 8-24-16. Have a bit of time on my hands, retired yah know, anyhow, found the problem to be a bad purge valve solenoid. So it's got a new PV505 purge valve solenoid and I have cleared the MIL. Saved the potential buyer a little over $60 for the part plus my labor. Am a certified mechanic but not my profession, and catching up on all the new stuff out there. Still will need the front end alignment, you may not think so as well as it tracks/steers, I didn't. It has too much camber and should have no more than 37 to 40 psi in those front 10 plys even though they can take 80 psi. 10 ply are really nice for heavy loads, no worry of getting impact breaks plus they are great in the snow.
