1972 Ford F-250 Ranger XLT Camper Special Sequoia Brown 390 FE V8 I am selling a 1972 Ford F-250 Ranger XLT Camper Special with the 390 V8 engine. It has a two tone sequoia brown with white. This truck does run, and drives, it was recently switched to a 4-barrel carter AFB with a new intake manifold, also comes with original two-barrel manifold. The carb still needs a good tuning. Recently serviced with oil change, spark plugs, and who had it last mis-matched the wires so those should be replaced. Truck idles rough and needs to be tuned. with the intake the gas pedal was never adjusted and does stick when touching the intake and needs to be tuned. Truck has all four drum brakes and, well, they ARE drum brakes. The brake needs to be completely compressed to get any brake action. All steering works and has power steering with a very noisy pump There are some body issues, like the tailgate is not original and the cb antennas where ripped off in the front and left some holes. The Truck really is in great condition, with a little tuning it could be a amazing truck. The bed is 101", has a ammo can bolted inside, All of the electrical works, there is no speakers for the radio, all vents and lights work except for the left reverse light, the socket needs to be replaced. The brake lights, turn signals, flashers, headlights all work. The rear driver side glass is plastic. The interior is actually in very good condition for the age, there is some cracking on the dash, a tear in the carpet above the transmission, a couple cigarette burns in the bench seat and the roof has some cracks. The paint is very good inside and all of the gauges work except for the gas, in the main tank the sending unit needs to be replaced, I have yet to use the secondary tank. This truck does have a title that has already been signed over with a previous bill of sale, you receive those with a new bill of sale for title transfer. The title is clean with no issues. The truck needs to be picked up with a trailer, I DO NOT recommend driving this a distance until it is properly serviced and tuned. The motor I was told was rebuilt about 15 years ago, the title reads 239,481 in 2014 and now the 5 digit speedometer reads 59,150, so it should be 259,150 miles. It is a V8 390 FE engine.
