1969 MERCEDES 280SL Roadster - Hardtop - automatic transmission This car does not have the soft top frame only hardtop as shown - this car has working brakes - newer shocks and tires as well It was on the road in 2012 and stolen at that time ! It needs very little work to be back on the road - and if not sold we will just might find the time to fix it up a little and sell it for $44,000 with less than $1000 worth of work !!!! Some say why we do not do that ? Well I have 14 Mercedes to deal with and time is short - I am not in the restoration business - I supply parts to restoration shops including the MERCEDES CLASSIC CENTER !!!!! I have 3 pagodas available at this time all on ebay - NOT RUST BUCKETS -NOT BURNED and WARPED JUNK !! VIN # 113 044 12 005010 Early 1969 build date Jan 1969 ! Engine was replaced at some time . Engine # 130 980 12 015615 The engine turns over fine by hand . It was last running int 2012 Original color ! 304 G horizon blue color code - 904 G Midnight blue hardtop color and hubcap color as well This car is a theft recovery from 2012 . When I got the car it was missing many parts most of which I have replaced and some not shown will be included as well . MAJOR ITEMS TAKEN and replaced - front and rear lights - grille and hood instruments and dash parts - all have been replaced or are included Hood is in excellent condition - bare aluminum so not much left to do except paint and finish mounting it . This is a very solid car needing very little work to be back on the road - I found no real problem rust issues at all on the body or on the frame and floors except some typical surface rust on a few areas where the factory undercoating has worn away . Trunk floor has some surface rust but is still solid and we painted it as well . Original excellent factory trunk mats ! Seats are in excellent condition just need a little cleaning but no rips or tears at all 1 door panel was removed but both are in very nice condition as you will see .
