Selling my 1964 1/2 mustang coupe that I restored from ground up. The last time this vehicle was registered was back in early 1980's , IN ONE POINT IN THE PAST 50 years this vehicle, it was given a salvage title for some reason , maybe theft ? Who knows ... After all this car wasn't registered since 1985 ( FRAME AND UNDERCARRIAGE STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW) so I know for fact that it wasn't because of accidents. The previous owners had intentions of restoring it but never did so it sat in a garage for over 20 years when it was sold to a guy that also had plans of restoring it but never got to it so he ended up selling it to someone that I knew who owned a mechanic shop. I had seen the car at his shop for a couple of years and always asked if he wanted to sell , so one day back in 2014 he called me and said he needs to make room in his shop and the car had to go so that when I finally got hold of this car. After a few weeks of running around to get title on the car and about $1200 later I finally obtained the title ( pink slip of the car ) and ended up paying the penalties from 1985 , the last time the car was ever registered. I put a lot of time and money to get this car to what it looks like today. ( when I got the car it was just a rolling shell , no motor , no trans , no hood or interior or any wiring) I will go over all that I have done to the car and if you have any questions please ask before you bid. This is a 50 plus year old car , salvage title on this types of vehicles has no bearing with the price or insurance... I have through hagerty full coverage insurance quote on this vehicle for a 30k stated value for under 600 a year. New piston and rings, new seals and bearings new oil pump , freeze plugs , new timing chain and Did a valve job on the stock heads . Intake manifold is edelbrock with 75 mm throttle body with 19 lbs injectors. Drivetrain; 5 speed manual transmission from a 93 fox body ,stock clutch and pressure plate, hurst short shifter, 9 inch ford with eaton posi unit with 3.70 gear ratio. Suspension; Stock springs front , upgraded 5 leaf in the rear. Brakes; Front and rear disc brake conversion with a new power brake booster and master cylinder. Wheels ; 17 inch Cobra type R staggered 10.5 rear and 9.0 front with 315-35-17 and 275-40-17. Fuel ; Modified gas tang with baffled inside for fuel injection set up , new beaded fuel line and metal line for return , with a Bosch high flow fuel pump and filter and Connected with AN fittings. Interior; New dash , autometer gauges, wiring, Kenwood sound system with 2 amps , 4 speakers and 2 12" subs , new carpet , head liner , new front seats , stock rear seats , door panels, new lock and ignition, Had the fenders flaired to accommodate 275's in the front and 315's on the rear. ( all metal ) , new window Mouldings (rubber)new weatherstripping, replaced front windshield cause it had lines in it from old wipers that were bad , also did not replace any of the vent / quarter glass trims but had the just cleaned up. They are in good shape , but needs polishing. I had it painted last year dark gray which I just recently re did complete inside and out with the new Lexus ( Atomic Silver ) metallic and the black stripes are Range Rover Black which I have the color codes so if ever need be you can get the same color for touch ups. This is my fun / pleasure car .... I do drive it just about every day with absolutely no issues what so ever. The fact that it is fuel injected fox body 5.0 motor means you can do any modifications you want to it without the worry of smog issues ( now that itself is worth the money) The car had no rust what so ever that we could see plus I have taken pictures to show the condition before the build. And if you are worried about shipping cause you live in other states , no worries... I will pay the shipping/translation fees if and only if you do the BUY IT NOW option , and if you want to have the car inspected for any accidents or frame damage then you can do it after you win the auction and if there is a problem that you find , then you are not responsible for taking the car and all the monies paid will be returned.
