Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 2004 Dodge Durango SLT AWD/4WD and a 5.7L V8 Hemi engine. I've been the only owner and I have title in hand. Never an engine or transmission problem....in 12 years of ownership I think a fuel pump and an O2 sensor went bad...that's it! Below is as complete a listing I can make of all the recent things I've put into the truck along with any service I've had done. As you can see from the color, I did some clean-up body work and used DipYourCar.com's Professional PlastiDip spray system to paint the truck, trim, and rims (the Stormcloud Gray was actually the 2nd dip...did it matte black at first). I did do some bodywork to address nicks, scrapes, and small dings so if you choose to peel off the paint (plastidip) you'll need to do additional work before repainting (priming, fixing my lousy bondo job, etc.) The truck runs like a top but there is some under truck rust that are beginning to become visible like the bottom of the driver's side door. Nothing crazy, and I've Eastwood's various rust producs to good success to slow, stop and even fix rust spots (their products are amazing). I strongly encourage you to watch the video walk around I've included as a link here. I go into a lot of the bullet points below in about a 20min video. Durango Walk Around Video Finally, before I put up the list, I'll reiterate the fact that of the 170K+ miles on the truck, at least 75% are highway. This list:In 2015 used EastWood's rust products, did some bondo/body work then did my first plastic-dip job in Matte Black.Current color scheme is: the body is storm cloud gray metallic, the rims are Sterling Silver pearl metallic as is the trim (grille, door handles, gap cap cover (and even the Weather Tech matts for front and 2nd rows.)20" rims are Granite Alloy chrome. They pitted over the years which is why I dipped them...before doing so I sanded/scraped/peeled as much of the chrome pitting that I couldReplaced stock running boards with black after market running boardsPainted black molding I purchased after replacing the stock running boards in same sterling sliver as after replacing the old running boards there was an odd gapOil changed two weeks ago so 3,000 miles to next oil serviceReplaced all internal and external bulbs, and I mean all, with LED lightsTapped into electrical bundle that has the wire for the dome light control unit. Ran Blue LEDs in a recessed fashion in front sets, under seats in 2nd and 3rd rows then used white LED waterproof strips behind the running boards. Look at the video, when you disarm the alarm/unlock doors with key or remote starter these lights come on...practical on outside as it provides a ton of light in dark parking lots and the Blue LEDs look cool inside. In last 6 months replaced all rotors and brake pads with brand new slotted rotors and ceramic brake padsInstalled low-profile radio antenna for a sleeker lookInstalled remote starter in January of this yearPurchased and installed a limited edition graphite colored dash matt...really helps with dust accumulating not the dashInstalled a really nice brushed aluminum trim kitPainted ugly faux wood looking radio console shroud in Anthracite gray metallic...matches interior color scheme soo much betterInstalled leather moto-corse steering wheel coverInstalled driver and passenger seat covers in CoverKing's neoprene materialInstalled a similar neoprene sleeve, in black on the storage console that sits between driver and passenger seatsIn last month, had air bag safety recall fixed by local dodge dealership.Less than 6 month old brand new Optima battery. Best batteries made by far: 800 cold cranking amps (CCA) and handles extra loads like cell phone, tablets as well as the LED light strips I've installed. Ok, am sure I missed something, don't hesitate to message me or text or call my cell which I'll make available after you message or email me first. Good luck!!
