I started this frame off restoration with the thought of building a $50,000 BMW Isetta 300. Since then I have found I don't have the time to complete this build. When I purchased this Isetta it had no rust, so I thought it would be a perfect candidate for a high end restoration. All body and paint work were completed by a professional restoration shop. The body was removed from the chassis, stripped to bare metal and the body seams were re-leaded as the factory would have done in 1958. The paint used is Metalux base coat and clear coat. While the body was off I had another shop clean the armature of the dyna start, cleaned the carburetor, changed the oil, gas and had it running. All of the original interior panels come with the car and are in decent condition. All of the original glass is included and is in very good condition. The original top and top mechanism is included. The head light and tail trim rings have not been replaced, I feel they should be re-plated or replaced to match the caliber of the paint and body work. The bumper, door handle, door handle escutcheon, front and rear nerf bars were all recently re-plated. It has four brand new BF Goodrich wide white walls to get that awesome retro look. The odometer reads 10,119 miles and I would think that is accurate since it still had the original tires and German windsheild wiper when I purchased it.
