You will get thumbs up every where you go! This VW was purchased by me 6 years ago from a collector in Chino , California where it had spent all its previous life. I had it shipped by transport home and have enjoyed it ever since .It has always been properly stored and never taken out except on the prettiest of days. I originally used it to promote my business on Saturday drives around town. 1971 is a very desirable year. First year of front disc brakes and the last year of the traditional VW engine. I dropped a lot of money in the stereo. My loss, your gain. This is a very dependable VW. The engine and transmission are very strong. Comes with the Luggage Rack and Vintage Surfboard. There is absolutely no rust anywhere and the paint is a 9. This is a great car to show or drive and enjoy. You will not find another in this condition for the money. The only thing I know that does not work are the wipers. They could be an easy fix but I never tried it because I have never considered driving it in the rain.
