Vehicle Detail
1965 HONDA CB160. VIN B1601087812 What you are bidding on is a turn-key 1965 Honda CB160 with less 2757 miles today. I do ride it a few miles along a scenic road in Albuquerque about once a week so mileage will creep up a bit until sold. CB160s sold within the last year needed most of the following: Title search, Keys, Tires, Tubes, Battery, Tune-up, Carb rebuilds, Valve Adjust, Rear View Mirrors, Rust Repair, Replacement Emblems, Starter, Wiring, Tank Repairs, or concerning mechanical concerns. These parts add up to THOUSANDS! Believe me, I have been watching these for years! Well I bit the bullet and finally bought one that needed a few of the maintenance updates but now it needs nothing to safely ride and enjoy. Don’t waste your time or money…save money and start riding today on a bike that runs great and looks great too. This bike was bought to relive child-hood memories. Basically, we wrecked my Dad’s CB160 in our early teens and had to piece it back together without him knowing about it back in the early 70s. This bike was built as a tribute to relive the memory (without the wreck of course!) It is complete now and my brothers and I have had our fun…time to make room to rebuild another memory from the past. All the work has been done with NOS parts where possible and this bike looks, sounds, starts, runs, and stops as good as it did 50 years ago! For this build, I started with a low mileage, rust free bike that ran O.K. but needed all the rubber parts replaced, carbs rebuilt, side covers, tires/tubes, seat reupholstered, battery, tune-up, oil change, fuel system flush, fuel lines, wiring harness repairs, and a bit of TLC. All of that was completed and I have driven this bike for over 200 miles now with NO ISSUES. It starts with a tap of the start button or a single kick. All gauges and features function properly from the starter to the tail-light. It now has everything and is ready to be ridden. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!
