Vehicle Detail

The vehicle is being sold "As-Is". Please read the entire description if you are seriously interested in the truck. I have three trucks and need to sell one. This is my two door Tahoe from 1999, the last year it was produced. It's the closest thing to the latest model Blazer you can get, so it's desirable. To the best of my knowledge, Chevy hasn't produced a full size two door SUV since. I bought it to fix up, but I haven't had the time. I parked it a couple years ago when one of the front brakes went bad. I went out and bought a new truck instead. It definitely needs additional work. I will list every issue I am aware of. The key FOB hasn't worked since I bought the truck (I think that was in 2010). I never replaced the battery or tried to reprogram it. I always used a regular key. It didn't bother me. The cruise control doesn't always work. If you move the lever around just right it will function properly. My guess is the electrical contacts need cleaning. The full tank leaks a little bit when it's completely full. The fuel gauge doesn't work properly, so that might have something to do with it. The A/C isn't cold anymore. You might want to replace the tires. I had a local shop check it out and one needs to be replaced now to pass Virginia inspection. It needs an alignment and lower ball joints, so there is uneven wear on the front tires. That's all the mechanical stuff I'm aware of. The rest is cosmetic. Nothing major. One thing is the running board on the driver's side front, there is a piece missing. You can see it in the first picture. The paint on the rear passenger side fender flare is coming off. I accidentally did that at the car wash recently with a pressure washer. There are a couple small dents in the front passenger side fender. You can see them in the fourth picture. The hood has some bigger, but shallow dents, which wouldn't appear in pictures. I don't notice them most of the time. There's a little bit of rust on the bottom of the tailgate, which I specifically took a picture of (in an album linked below). The interior door panels are not fully connected, which can be seen in the video (also linked below). There are relatively minor issues like that, which you would expect from a vehicle that's 17 years old. Overall it's pretty decent. It just needs a good cleaning. A lot of the older Tahoes I've looked at have terrible seats. But these actually look quite nice. I don't know if the previous owner replaced them. But they appear to be factory original to me. Also, there are two previous owners on the vehicle history report. But actually it was owned by a family. The title just changed names. I considered that to be a single owner vehicle when I bought it originally. But you can take that as you'd like. Personally I think even three owners isn't a lot. I think it has every option available except for leather seats. Power everything, push button four-wheel drive, tow package, etc. I might still have the window sticker that shows everything, but I haven't found it yet. The engine runs well. The power windows and seats work fine. All glass is intact. The exhaust is quiet. No leaks I believe. Seat upholstery is decent, not torn. The body is in nice condition, considering it's age and mileage. There's a single minor accident on the vehicle history report. But I don't know the details and haven't noticed any evidence of body repair. A couple light bulbs need replacing and the headlights adjusted. All lights up front are aftermarket. But I will include the original factory lights. The battery is new and I had a pair of new windshield wiper blades laying around, so I just put those on as well. The whole truck could use a good cleaning. The interior especially. I would probably replace the carpet rather than deal with it. I drove it around the neighborhood occasionally, so it didn't sit for so long. The 4x4 still works. I put it in 4-low, which it clearly shifted into. And it went back into 2-wheel just fine. Despite having so many miles on the odometer, the engine itself only has about 80k miles. I asked the previous owner for the paperwork, but they didn't have it anymore, unfortunately. They said it was replaced, because the place where they took it to for an oil change forgot to put the plug back in, so the oil leaked out and the engine failed. They paid to have a new one installed. You must take care of picking up this truck. I highly recommend you don't drive it home, due to bad brakes up front. I've only been driving it slowly around the neighborhood. If you happen to be within about 50 miles from me, I would be willing to tow it myself to your place for an extra $100. But I would have to check with Uhaul to verify their vehicle trailer will work. Otherwise I don't have access to one. I have it listed locally, so it may sell here and I will end the listing accordingly. I have the title in hand. Pictures were taken last month. I have take more pictures recently of the underside here: imgur.com/a/H8FU7 I also made a video showing the truck all around, outside, inside, and under the hood, here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTRdRFjJ5xQ The truck has about $1,500 worth of stereo equipment. I realize it's not worth nearly as much as what I originally paid. But it's still decent quality equipment. The stereo system is as follows. Kenwood Excelon KDC-X794 CD/MP3 player with iPod direct control via USB input, compatible with Kenwood's Bluetooth adapter, satellite radio, CD changer, and HD Radio tuner.Precision Power S420.2 2-channel amplifier with two MB Quart FWA-304D 12" Formula Series subwoofers installed in a large custom built vented sub box with 3/4" MDF construction and 40" ports.Precision Power S320.4 4-Channel amplifier with Infinity 509CS Component System (5-1/4" mid-range woofers and 1" tweeters) in the rear and Kenwood eXcelon KFC-X1720P Component System (6-1/2" mid-range woofers and 1" tweeters) in the front.Ten total speakers. There is over $300 worth of wiring and installation hardware, including Best Kits BKGM4 Chevy Universal 82-02 CD Dash Trim Kit, three Monster Cable Interlink 201 XLN Car Audio Cables 2C-5M, all Stinger Pro Series amplifier and speaker wiring, and a mix of Stinger Pro and Streetwires terminals.I have done my best to detail every little thing about the truck, so you would be fully aware of its condition. But feel free to ask any questions should you have any.
