Vehicle Detail
I am relisting the K5 because of nonpayment by the buyer of my original auction. You are bidding on a very rare, very original survivor 1972 GMC Jimmy 4X4. The K5 Jimmy is the GMC version of the Chevrolet K5 Blazer. While exact production numbers are not known, we do know a total of 44,266 Blazers and Jimmys were made in 1972. With production of the Blazer believed to be three times that of the Jimmy, that would make this one of just over 11,000 Jimmys made in 1972! This K5's SPID tag is in tact on the glove box door(pictured). The SPID tag states the factory installed options, such as medium blue paint, good running 350ci V8 engine topped off with an Edelbrock electric choke carburetor, column shifted turbo hydra-matic automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes and white double wall lift off top. Mileage is a "best guess" because the odometer only shows 5 digits, so at this time the odometer reads 36850 This K5 is 99% RUST FREE! The front fenders have no rust. The inner fender liners have no rust, (even under the battery!) The drivers and passengers floor boards have no rust. The windshield frame inside and out has no rust. The raised back floor area has no rust. The tailgate has no rust. The inside of main tub/cab of the K5 is in excellent and original condition with almost zero rust. The only rust I found on this K5 was removed and new metal was welded in. The K5 has brand new outer rockers, new metal in the area just behind both doors and the bottom corners of the doors were repaired. Two small spots just in front of the tailgate were repaired with original GM metal from a C10 truck floor. I will post pictures later this week of the rust repaired areas of the K5. This K5 has four brand new 33X12.50X15 BFGoodrich All Terain tires($1000 in tires!), new side mirrors and power steering hoses. Bid with confidence! This is a very rare, very original, survivor K5 Jimmy. Do your homework and you will find this K5 is a bargain! There are driver quality K5s selling for $15-20,000 and fully restored K5s selling for $25-35,000. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. The K5 is for sale locally and may sell at any time. On Jul-15-16 at 11:20:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Added exterior pictures with the top cleaned ,requested tailgate and floor repaired areas.
