Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE AUCTIONGood condition. Drive anywhere. BUT has diagnosed lower engine noise. Had it when I bought it 10+ years and 25,000 miles ago and still makes the same noise when you rev it up. No noise at idle. Complete interior removal and restore with carpet & seats put back in as is condition, bottom sandblasted and painted, exterior paint untouched older repaint decent but not great, all brakes, transmission, etc serviced and restored. Original engine (rebuilt heads for unleaded gas before I bought it at the Atlantic City Classic Car Auction about 10+ years ago). All original manuals, 1962 advertisements, spare parts, and a few options not installed in the car are included as well. A lot of new OEM parts included. Options include Autronic eye (not hooked up), Buick tissue dispenser, vacuum trunk release, original GM trash holder on floor, original handy mats and rare red mats, trunk mat, power adjustable side mirrors driver and passenger side(not installed), original 1962 spare tire (DON'T USE IT!), Sonomatic AM radio, etc etc. Everything. The car drives like it's on a cloud but makes a tapping noise over 50 mph that you can hear. It is a lower engine noise. Rebuilt drum brakes now need shoes adjusted from wear when installed new. Beautiful classic time machine that you just don't see anymore and causes conversations, reminiscing, and thumbs up everywhere you drive it.. Now for things that aren't perfect. Tapping or rattling noise over 50 mph as described before. FYI a complete Master Engine Building kit with absolutely everything you need to rebuild a 1962 Buick 401cc Nailhead engine is $1,350 from Kantor Bros supply in New Jersey. Car goes 105 mph (just once), does not burn any smoke or use any oil yet still makes that noise. Power steering seal leaks on bottom of steering column. Have rebuilding kit. Old but shiny paint. A few small dings. 2 spots of bubbled paint on bottom corners of doors. Short in dash wiring after restoration so some interior, dash, and windshield wipers don't work. Need to trouble shoot and correct. Gas gauge doesn't work, ground strap broke, but have new assembly to install. Power seats were restored and work perfect on the bench but need finish trouble shoot in car to work electrically. Needle for speed buzzer is stuck and needs to be fixed. Dashboard ash tray falls down, springs need to be changed, have them. Definitely body work was done by the previous owner, bondo and metal work. Worn hinge bushing in drivers side door so it sags a little bit when you open it. There is a non original switch under the dash that cuts off power to the coil for a kill switch when parking somewhere. The leather seats are original but have been resprayed sometime in the past. No rips or tears. Interior color was red changed to burgundy (dark red). Looks so much better than the common red but can be changed back if you wanted to. Changed points for electronic ignition and reliability but you can't see it. Changed generator for alternator reliability but it looks just like an original generator. All brand new original stainless steel exhaust system from front to back. Same as original but will never rust. Added seat belts. I think everything else is original oem parts. I'm sure I'm forgetting something but hopefully the pictures will show everything you need to know. Any questions at all please email me below so I can share the answers with others. I am selling my car which I never thought I would sell (a common event I'm sure) because I moved from NY with a 5 car garage to FL with only a 3 car garage. My other cars are outside so something has to give. It's time for a new home. The car is located in Loxahatchee Florida, near West Palm Beach, area code 33470. Willing to drive it to you to deliver within a 100 mile area or help your car carrier of choice load it. My name is Bruce and my cell is 631 553-5388 if you need to talk to me. Thanks! UPDATE: Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
