Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a VERY CLEAN, LOW MILEAGE 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT with a 5.9 Cummins Turbo Diesel. I bought the truck as a project out of Ohio a few years ago and I've put a LOT of money into it since then. I'm going to describe everything as honestly and in as much detail as I can, so you can know what you're getting. This isn't some ragged out farm truck - it's a solid daily driver, tow rig, or a solid foundation for a “hot rod” build...if that's what you're going for. The title is clean and clear and in my name, ready for transfer. The truck starts, runs, shifts, and drives great. I'm moving to a different state next month, and have my eye on a WS6, so this beauty needs to go. Body and Chassis – 137k miles As stated above, the truck is NOT a rebuilt wreck, and surprisingly had no rust. The body did have a few small dents, dings, and scratches when I got it, so I got that taken care of. Below is a list of everything that was done to the body and chassis after I bought it. - The truck has absolutely NO rust and has been completely repainted with PPG base and clear. - New headlights were installed - Chassis and frame were stripped and undercoated with 3M rubberized undercoating. - Rear axle has new rotors, new calipers, and new brake pads. - Front axle has new rotors, new brake pads, new U-joints, new sway bar end-links, and fresh synthetic fluid. Calipers were cleaned, honed, and new seals were installed. - The truck has 17” Eagle Alloy wheels with 33x12.50x17 Pro-Comp A/T's. Tires don't have the greatest tread (30-40%) but will easily last until winter. - Also has a super beefy Gooseneck hitch installed. Unsure of brand, but it's hefty. -The interior is very clean for the age of the truck. It also features a triple A-pillar pod with Autometer Phantom Series gauges, which includes Boost, Pyro, and Transmission Temperature. Engine – Less than 20 miles I bought the truck with a couple of burnt pistons, so it underwent a full stock rebuild. Below is a list with all of the engine work that was completed. - Block was hot tanked, magnafluxed, decked flat, honed, and received new cam bearings by Mike Taylor Machine. - Crank and rods were cleaned, checked, and/or polished by Mike Taylor Machine. - Head was hot tanked, magnafluxed, and decked flat by Mike Taylor Machine. - Has stock bore Cummins pistons with new Sealed Power rings. - New Federal Mogul rod and main bearings were checked installed. - Factory cam and tappets were checked, cleaned, and polished before re-installing. - All gaskets are brand new Fel-Pro, with the exception of the head gasket – which came directly from Cummins (thick gasket). - Fuel injectors were sent to JL Machine for testing (passed) and re-sealed with new o-rings and copper washers. - Factory CP3, fuel rail, and lines are off of 90k mile donor engine. - High-temp coated, 2nd Gen manifold. - Factory Holset HE-341, clocked with a manual spring wastegate. - 4” 2nd Gen manifold swap downpipe from Diesel Auto Performance, runs in to a 5” straight pipe. This thing sounds amazing. None of the obnoxious 3rd Gen raspiness or drone. Transmission When I bought the truck, I was told the truck had a “fully built Suncoast transmission with all billet shafts”. The previous owner told me he had this transmission installed less than 10k miles before the engine problem. I did NOT receive receipts as testament to the claims, so I cannot guarantee it. What I DO know about the transmission is listed below. - Sonnax billet single disk converter. Phil from Diesel Performance Converters confirmed this. Again, this is not a DPC or Suncoast converter, it's a Sonnax. Phil told me this converter was capable of holding 500hp. - Fresh filter and ATF+4 fluid. - The transmission pulls and shifts great, and the converter locks and holds strong with NO slip. Shipping can possibly be arranged, depending the location of the buyer. If interested, feel free to contact me, and I can check rates and discuss details. On Jun-25-16 at 19:09:54 PDT, seller added the following information: Edit: I added pictures of the engine build.
