For sale is a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4 I6 4.0 with an automatic transmission and 123k original miles. This is a clean title vehicle and it is lien free. This Jeep is in great condition and runs very good, especially for its year.The engine runs strong, does not smoke, from visual inspection there does not seem to be any leaks, does not leave any wet spots when parked weather its a day or a week, but being an older vehicle you may see a common wet spot near or around a gasket, it idles straight, does not throw any check engine codes, and starts right up. Transmission is strong and shifts on point, all gears work and do not slip, 4x4 engages in hi and low. The Jeep was recently put on a lift and inspected, new front brakes, new alternator and 4 new shocks were installed. Drives well, does not pull, shake or rattle. Over it is mechanically inclined, but being a 16 year-old vehicle please expect normal wear and tear.Cosmetically it is in good shape, original paint and does not have any rot. There are some minor imperfections, such as a hand sized dent on the corner of the hood, it is not from an accident, seems as if something fell on it, or the hood wasn't properly shut, there is a heavy scratch on the left side wheel flair, and a few minor nics/scratches, but over-all it is in very good condition, the paint does not show any sun fade or rot. The frame and undercarriage are in good condition with average wear, no rot-some slight surface rust which is normal (new cars on lots get surface rust on metal components), and the under carriage has been treated to keep it safe from corrosion. Interior is in great shape, it is equipped with power options such as power locks and windows, power mirrors, cruise control and other small features that complete the sport package (you can google the sport package and see exactly what options it offers for this year.) The interior is pretty clean and shows very minimal wear, but being a used vehicle there are some accidental flaws such as small holes in the ceiling (pictured) and a small wear hole in the drivers seat. All electronics work properly, AC/Heat work well, radio controls all function and speakers are clear and loud. Over-all a very good looking interior especially for the vehicles age.Most of these Jeeps are found trashed or modified for off-road use. This Jeep is completely stock and does not have any modifications, its hard to find these gems in such great shape. I have described this Jeep to the best of my knowledge, and from the information gathered by visually inspecting it and driving it, not being the original owner I cannot tell you the entire history of the vehicle. Being a pre-owned vehicle, 16 years old and having over 100k miles, it is being sold AS-IS, regular wear and tear is to be expected and nothing is guaranteed or warrantied. It is sold AS-IS. This is a Jeep NOT a Cadillac or Mercedes, it will drive like a Jeep, handle like a Jeep, sound like a Jeep and smell like a Jeep.
