Need an old "beater" to haul around firewood? this truck runs, but is in rough condition. 1997 ford F 150 XL 4-wheel drive, 4.6 liter motor V8, 2-door ext. cab holds 6 people. Was inspected in 2015, but has been off the road and has been used for hauling scrap & firewood. the worst thing about the truck is the body & underside, and the brake booster canister has been welded professionally. You would need brakes, exhaust, and tires to be road-worthy. the tailgate has a strap to hold it up also. Window glass & lights, etc. ok. It has a bedliner also. the inside is pretty rough with torn seats and a piece of the dash missing around the steering wheel. Like I said, it's not pretty, but it runs as a work truck. It should drive to your home with dealer plates slapped on it. also, would like to mention....the motor seems to run ok. the oil was always changed regularly. You could put this motor into another truck.NO motor noises or clicks like bad heads or timing. etc. Truck starts & runs, just looks real rough. Selling" as is" though.
