Vehicle Detail
Last year I set out to build the two stroke Suzuki should have built! Here it is, now for sale. This 2003 RM 125 has been rebuilt from the frame up and has less than 3 hours total time. I am selling because I no longer ride due to injury. The bike is a close to new as you are likely to find. From the feel of the levers to the new motor and suspension, it's very tight, fast and handles like a two stroke Suzuki. The bike was stripped to the bare frame, which was repainted - but not powder coated. The engine was thoroughly rebuilt locally (using a Wiseco crank kit) while the top end was done by Eric Gorr and bored to 144cc. Eric also did the porting - utilizing the "low to midrange" porting, which runs on pump gas (top end did not suffer!). Here are the remaining details. Rims are stock Excel, tires are new Michelin S12's. The chain was replaced with a Renthal 520 O-Ring and rear sprocket replaced with a Renthal twin ring (49 tooth) - front sprocket (12 tooth) was also replaced. All the plastic was replaced and I used 2005 graphics because I think they look the best. The seat was rebuilt with new foam and a custom made seat cover with red stripe. New Pro Taper handlebars were also added along with new levers and new clutch and front brake cables. Front and rear brake rotors are stock, pads were replaced. Clutch basket was replaced with a Wiseco and clutch was replaced with an EBC clutch kit with springs. Suspension was rebuilt, re-valved and springs replaced by Gary Borelli from Mendota, Illinois. Gary was referred to me as the best in the Midwest and he did a great job. I also added Motion Pro fork bleeders. I prefer stock exhaust so you can see it has the stock pipe with an FMF shorty silencer. Radiators were replaced with new. Also, the swing arm bearings and rear linkage were rebuilt and steering stem bearings were replaced. New air filter and spark plug were also added. Finally, I bought a Suzuki bolt kit and used as needed the correct bolts for all the plastic and rear sprocket bolts. The only fault I see with the bike is the frame paint scratched off from boot wear pretty quickly - which you can see in the photos. While I didn't repaint the frame, I did have the clutch and magneto covers powder coated. If you would like more photos or have questions feel free to contact me. The bike is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction if sold. Bike is for sale as pick-up only, sorry, no deliveries. I have not titled the bike, so it will be sold with a bill of sale. Good luck bidding.
