I am selling a 1968 Mercedes-Benz 230. Also known as a Mercedes "Fintail," this car is in great condition with only 106,000 original miles. It has a 6-Cylinder gas engine with 4-Speed manual trans. It was just painted Horizon Blue (Mercedes color #304)--an original color for this model year--and has blue interior. The car will start and drive without any problems. It is very fun to drive and cruises down the highway with no difficulty maintaining high speeds. The dash cluster and steering wheel make you feel like you are operating something special, and you will get a steady flow of compliments whenever you drive it. I spent $6k over the past three months giving it whatever it needed and getting it ready to sell and have all receipts. I thoroughly enjoyed working on this car. The suspension is softer than the W123 cars and it does great over speed bumps and pot holes. Parts are available and are fairly cheap. Just type 'Mercedes W110 into eBay and you can buy most anything you need. It helps if the buyer is mechanically inclined or has a good mechanic and there are many who still know this model. Also, thanks to DaimlerChrysler's commitment to keeping their automotive heritage alive, nearly every mechanical part required to keep a 230 running is still available through your local Mercedes-Benz dealers or one of hundreds of aftermarket suppliers and wrecking yards.
