Vehicle Detail

Contact e-mail : otoosailfast@gmail.com My 1st gen Mini is a one of kind 2007 JCW Convertible. Only 29,500 miles! It began life as a fully optioned JCW, then professionally modded for spectacular performance. Best of all it hasn't seen any speedway or competitive miles even though it's ready! The car gets so little use these days that it's time for a new home! I'm a life long car enthusiast (mainly BMW), driving for 45 years-- the past 12 with Minis so I know how to take care of it. It's been pampered since new and barely shows any signs of use. The original brake pads and rotors are testament to its gentle use. I always double clutch downshifts so the clutch and transmission move like butter. I purchased it from the original owner 4 1/2 years ago with 6,800 miles. It spent much of it's early days being flat bedded to car shows and events. For me, the highlights of the car are it's incredible road grip and stunning exhaust note. For someone else it may be the overall condition and awesome seats/interior. It runs and feels as good as it looks. I drove it purely for pleasure, often to in tours with the BMW and Mini clubs. No commuter traffic, no track, no wrecks. The black soft top and leather interior are in near new condition, easily mint. The sound system is over the top but I confess to preferring the exhaust note from the Milltek headers back system--and it gets all the compliments!! Dynamat Sound Insulation keeps road noise to a minimum. I replaced the rear bumper after cracking the original in a barely moving parking miscue. The leather with piping is usually seen on high line rides and the car turns heads everywhere. It is always garaged, battery tender as needed. I don't idle it like some people do with a car that sits. I either drive it or I don't. Mini of Annapolis looks after it, though it has needed very little other than service maintenance. Generous fluid refreshes, all up to date. Make no mistake, the car is raw--most suited to an enthusiast. The ride is firm, it grips like it's on rails and the exhaust system isn't for the faint of heart. It's a two seater given the custom sound package but can be returned to 4 seat service by KarTunes of Sterling, VA. Rear seat space is lost but the boot size remains. If you have owned a Mini before (most owners buy one after the other), this one is likely to be the baddest you'll ever own. Is the car fully depreciated? Possibly. I'm a 26 year BMWCCA member and am ready to buy a vintage Bimmer. I grew up on early BMWs and long for nostalgia. This is my sixth and by far best Mini. Likely the last one too because well, where do you go from here? The original owner did all of the mods and went bonkers, spent a small fortune on it. Specs below. To replace the audio system alone would be $7,500 (KarTunes, Sterling VA). I purchased the car because the shop that performed all the mechanical upgrades used to service my E34 M5 and they do top notch (expensive) work--Curry's Auto Service in VA, the owner Matt Curry is often seen at the track. And their work proved excellent once again. The Bridgestone S04 non run flats are lightly used and wearing perfectly even thanks to RRT's expert 4 wheel alignment (also in VA). The rear seat and seat belts (as new) come with the car. Also a Mini car cover, battery tender, fobs, books and original sticker. Extensive documentation for all service, mods and audio. Any questions, feel free to contact me. If I neglected pertinent information you would like, just holler. More images available! Thank you! Note: There is a small chip in the windshield, high on the passenger side. It happened about 18 mo ago and has been static. The vertical design makes it prone, so I consider it superfluous to replace electively. The check engine light comes on shortly after a reset, something to do with the 02, due to the exhaust system. Doesn't effect drivability. The airbag light is on for passenger seat. Apparently common for this car and not an inexpensive fix, having to replace a wire from battery. Dealer says the alternator needs replacing, but I use a battery tender regularly so don't experience a need. Spark plugs and serpentine belt have been replaced as preventive maintenance. Windshield replaced once already, before the current chip. Optima Red 34/78 battery last May. Bridgestone SO4 new at 22k along with four wheel align.
