Vehicle Detail

*UP FOR AUCTION NO RESERVE* 1966 Chevelle Hard Top Coupe All Original Panels Rust free California Car. Looks, runs, sounds and drives excellent. The Chevelle was repainted two years ago with DuPont Chroma base and Clear Coat, comes with extra quart of unreduced paint in the event it’s ever needed in the future. (Hopefully Not) Under the hood is a stout 383 stroker that makes 378 HP. All of the chrome and stainless is in perfect condition. When I initially purchased the car four years ago, the gentleman already had the front and back seats reupholstered. I looked at it like it’s a start. Since owning the Chevelle I have an almost never ending list of task that have been done with all the receipts to prove it. Below is a list of what has been done. Motor is a 383 stroker that has about 2,400 miles on a complete over haul, 350 block 4 bolt main, 30 over, forged piston 9 ½ :1 compression, eagle rods, 400 crank, Arp main and Rod bolts, comp tappet cam. The heads are camel hump heads with oversized valves. Also have street port, The intake and the heads have been port matched to the gaskets. Edelbrock performer intake manifold, 600 CFM Edelbrock carburetor, MSD 6AL Box, MSD Distributor and coil, Taylor 8mm spark plug wires, New fuel pump # 6 custom bent hard line that’s feeds Edelbrock filter before the carb. Edelbrock hard line into the card, Headman long tube headers, Energy Suspension Urethane motor and transmission mounts. 2 ½ exhaust with the thrust mufflers dumped before read end, all of the coolant lines are new as well as the heater core, Transmission is a rebuilt power glide with a B&M torque converter, U Joints have been replaced, rear end is a 10 bolt that has been gone through about 2 years ago. All of the seals were replaced. About 2 years ago all of the brakes, shoes, wheel cylinders, Barings, seals and master cylinder were all replaced. The breaks were adjusted properly you can come to an abrupt stop without any pulling. The car stays straight. Replaced fuel tank, the rims on the car are original rally. The fronts are 15x7 and the rear are 15x8 which are mounted with Dunlop tires that have 95 0/0 thread. Was repainted 2 years ago by a local body shop. Also the windows were all pulled, it was in a million pieces. Once the paint job was compete the car sat for a few months, then color sanded flat and buffed. Once put together on the exterior, the interior needed some attention. Within the last year and a half I have bought all new weather strips, door gaskets, trunk gasket, felt strips, dash pad, heather controls, glove box felt, door panels and rear panels, arm rest, rear package tray, door seals, floor mats, switch and light switch, and also a new GM ignition. I did not like the way the trunk mat looked once installed so I had a upholstery shop put carpet in and make a spare tire cover. That is my 1966 Chevelle described as best as possible, if you have any questions please feel free to call me Andrew 714-472-8157 (Pacific Time) FOR SALE LOCALLY----OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION AT ANY TIME
