Vehicle Detail
1965 Ford Falcon Futura 2-dr. Coupe. 6 cyl. (170 cu.in.) Automatic. Odometer shows 19,000+ miles but ???.Sharp looking Yellow with Black Vinyl interior. This little car runs, shifts and stops great. It appears that it was repainted at some point. The paintwork wasn't the best but not the worst either. It has some amateur touch up done recently, mostly in the lower rear quarter panels (Yes, there is filler in the quarters. There doesn't seem to be much, if any, in the doors and front fenders!!). It needs to be color sanded and buffed. There has been new floorpans installed in the front-rear pans are fine. New carpet was installed. Front door panels are decent driver quality but not perfect. Front seat has a couple of minor tears. Dash is nice. The headliner has some minor tears and some discoloration. Glass is all good and windows all function. Brake lines have been replaced. Gages and idiot lights all work, as well as headlights, taillights, wipers, directionals, etc. The inner wheel wells have been patched and could use some attention as well as some rust repair on the underside (just like the early Mustangs). Unlike 5 years ago, the replacement parts are easily available. The car was in storage for a long time. The exhaust should be replaced (certainly not a big issue) The stainless trim on the car is excellent. The bumpers have some pitting but are very presentable. These little Falcons have become a pretty hot item in the last few years. Finished ones are bringing over $20K !! (And if it's a Sprint?.....WOW !!) Since it hasn't been driven much, you really should change the fluids , lubed, etc. and you're ready to go cruising!! Transferable NYS registration in hand. (NYS didn't have titles until 1973) On May-08-16 at 13:17:02 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE: Thanks to a fellow ebayer, the engine has been determined to be a 200 cu. in. rather than a 170 cu.in. I added 3 photos showing the VIN plate and the engine tag still intact
