This is a really nice 2002 ! I used to have 4 of these way back in the 1980's and can say this one is better than every one I had in the past ! I just acquired this from an estate recently . The former owner was a BMW club member and a 2002s enthusiast as well . This car was not driven in the winter and was always garaged until I acquired it now ! What you see in the pictures is exactly how I got it out of the garage except for the fact that I did clean it up with warm water a little . I have not polished it or really given it a good scrubbing or polish any of the chrome yet . If I was a body shop I could put a little work in it and hide the little flaws that you will see in the pictures I took of the car . I have well over 100 pictures of this car and can only show 24 here on ebay but you can email me at my REAL address and I will forward more pictures to you . My son thinks I am crazy to sell this but I have 18 more German cars to deal with and 3 of them are for sale on ebay right now as well. I think the paint on this car may be original ! I really see no indication that it was repainted . I believe the former owner might have auto-crossed the car as it has performance front and rear sway bars - Bilstien sports shock as well and a performance exhaust by ANSA . This has a 2 barrel Weber carb - looks like the radiator was upgraded to a 320i one . Performance BOSCH distributor ? Upgraded wires . Has Headers as well . Engine uses MOBLE 1 oil . Has very nice 5 speed transmission - tight - shifts fine with no issues . This car runs drives and stops very well . Excellent sports KUMO tires and PANASPORT wheels as well . This is ready for a daily driver or weekend tourer as is . Very clean interior with rare RECARO sports seats as you can see . Since this car was kept in a garage I did learn the other day that the trunk seal should be replaced ! It rained and I discovered some water in the trunk ! This is a very solid car with only a few minor flaws to the body and paint as you should be able to see . The underside looks original since no one over the years has resorted to painting it black to hide things ! The only thing I have done to the car , except installing a new battery, is to treat the spare tire well with "EASTWOOD Rust Encapsulator . I understand this is a common area they rust in and so I cleaned up the loose surface rust in that area and treated it with the EASTWOOD product . Car comes with original tool kit as well as many BMW 2002 manuals and books along with spare tune up parts as shown in the trunk . Inspection is welcome . Car also has a black bra original exhaust manifold - original radiator etc . This one was taken care of by someone who really cared about this car ! Based on what I have seen selling on ebay this looks like a $18,000 car ! And if you go to Hemmings this looks like a $22,000 car !!!! But we will toss it up for auction with reserve less than what we think it will bring . Also I was told by some 2002 experts ( after they saw the well over 100 pictures I took of the car) that this car could bring well over $15000 on ebay ! Based on looking at some 2002s that have been recently sold on ebay in the last few months at over $18,000 this car seems to be as good or better than many of them . Car also will come with a car cover and over 40 BMW CLUB ROUNDEL magazines from the 1980's .
