1951 Dodge Power Wagon Model B3-PW126 S/N: 83925484 It is with reluctance that I am selling my 1951 civilian Power Wagon. I rebuilt this Nebraska ranch truck from 1994-98. I intentionally did not “over-restore this truck since I intended to use it…which I did for several years after restoration. Unfortunately, in the early 2000s, my career took me places where it was not practical to take my truck. Since then, it has been used intermittently but not as regularly as intended, and has spent much of its time idle. The truck has been left original for the most part, with the few exceptions noted below. It was a solid driver and I used it weekly if not daily for a number of years. A partial list of the features of this truck includes: · Mileage: 44603 (I believe this to be actual miles) · The truck was basically rust-free to begin with. Cab components and front fenders vat dipped and re-painted with Nason base coat/ clear coat, inside and out. · Bed and rear fenders were rough to begin with and after straightening, I just painted them with enamel, thinking I would eventually come back and repaint like the cab. · There is minimal amounts of “bondo” used on this truck. Body repairs were made using a gas welder (hammer weld technique) or wire-welder. · New bed strips, white oak flooring · Front and rear differentials (5.83 ratio) completely rebuilt · Rebuilt transfer case · Bearings and seals replaced as needed in drive train · 12 volt electrical system conversion (w/ generator) · Motor appeared to be sound at time of restoration, so work on motor was limited to exterior clean-up, pull and clean oil pan, rebuild carb, new fuel pump, new water pump, new ignition components, professional radiator restoration, new pressure plate and clutch · Relined brake shoes · Optional rear shock mounts w/ shocks · Pintle hitch · 9:00 – 16 Power King tires, including spare (low miles) · Super Winch hubs · Braden MU-2 PTO winch with 7/16” cable (minimal use) I have some other items, including a spotlight, original two-piece lug wrench, some NOS parts, various reproduction PW manuals and a collection of Power Wagon and military vehicle publications that will go with the truck as well. Truck is titled and licensed in Kansas, but is currently located in Frankfort, Kentucky (north-central KY).
