1998 JAGUAR XJ8 IN GREAT SHAPE -- SWAPPED IN LS1 AND 4L60E TRANSMISSION The swap was performed professionally using the jaguar specialties kit. As a matter of fact this is the actual car that Jaguar Specialties used to develop their prototype kit. I purchased the vehicle from them a couple of years back after they pulled their ls/4l60e combo out of it. I had the vehicle shipped to tulsa and dropped in the LS1/4l60e -- great combo for this amazing body style which originally came with a notoriously bad jaguar drivetrain. With this combination you get the best body style and the best drivetrain available. The interior is in remarkable condition for it's age and shows only slight wear and no rips or tears in the leather. This is not a project car by any means this is a running driving car which needs about a weekend of work to tune up just right and make a reliable daily driver. I've invested over $9,500 into the car and have receipts to prove it but I need to sell it quickly so I'm listing it with a SUPER LOW RESERVE auction and hoping for the best. I would also be willing to sell the car without the engine and transmission but with all of the swap parts for lower than reserve. I've got another car that would love the LS1 so not a big deal for me to pull the drivetrain if you want a father son type project that is very easy to complete. THE BADWas perfect daily driver but has been sitting under a car cover for two years while I've been working on other projects, so gas in tank is old - will start but is running kind of crappy on the old gas and subsequently has ruined two injectors while trying to run out the old gas. I have the new injectors but have no time to install them and flush the tank -- just sold my house and moving out of town - would rather pass on this car than have it shipped across the country. Also, has small exhaust leak (need to plug the rear O2 bungs) - and the A/C needs a connector block from the main line to compressor ($30 part.) Also, the clear coat is peeling in some areas but doesn't really show from more than 5 feet away because the car is white. MOTIVATED SELLER - CALL OR TEXT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.
