No Reserve auction — the winner gets it!For sale is a beautifully restored 1972 Honda CB450. A second owner bike with only 8900 original miles and a clean Iowa title. A real beauty. The bike has been meticulously restored, with over 600 hours of labor in it. The engine has great compression, valves have been set, as well as the timing. The engine starts very easily with either the electric or kick starter, and runs great. The chrome looks almost brand new, paint looks great. Some of the parts that have been replaced; new points, condenser, coils, wires. New petcock and fuel lines. New tires and tubes, Uni air filters, battery and updated main fuse. The carbs have been thoroughly cleaned, polished and rebuilt with new seal kits, cam and engine covers polished to a nice period correct finish. The forks have been polished, rebuilt with new fluid, seals and gaitors. Wheel hubs polished. Brakes cleaned, inspected, new pads, lines, fluid and seals. Original gauges look great. The chrome looks great everywhere, but especially the exhaust and mirrors. New speedo, clutch, tach cables. Everything works as it should; electrical, fuel delivery, engine and transmission. The engine pulls really strong, and the transmission is very smooth. This bike runs as well as it looks, and I must say, it looks really good. These engines were a marvel when introduced, with the desmo valvetrain, double overhead cams and power to be had. These 450's still dominate on the vintage racing scene, and probably will for some time yet. I would not be afraid to ride this bike anywhere. Or maybe I would just drain the fuel system and put it in a showroom. Either way, it will bring a smile to a lucky new owners face.
