Classic 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 XL "Fastback" Being Sacrificed To a Super Lucky Guy or Gal... Because... (Sadly...) I am Offering my Dream Car, (that I had this "Climate Controlled" Garage Built for...), for Sale to Try to Finish a "Home Repair" that has Cost me "Thousands Upon Thousands" of Dollars to have Done... This a Rare 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 " XL" Fastback... It has had Extensive Work Done to Keep it in the Great Shape that these Pictures Show... It has had a Powerful Ford 460 High Performance Engine installed in place of the Factory 352 Engine... (So, its a Real "Sleeper"...), and this Engine is Mated to a Heavy Duty C-6 Automatic Transmission... But as Johnny Cash says... "With an A-Dapter Kit"... She Runs Great...! Getting the Monster "7.5 Litre" Engine installed was No Easy Task... However, it Does Fit Nicely... Exhaust Manifolds for a Ford 429 Cobra Motor is what the Internet said to use to to make it "Fit" without cutting any Steel...and Believe it or Not... "IT WORKED"...! (Perfect Fit) She Runs Pretty Quiet... (No Loud "Headers" to Wake the Neighbors...) I Truly Do Not want to Sell my Baby... But, I have been having a "Total Remodel" Done to my Former House that I Must Sell to Pay on the Mortgage for my New House... (That's the Promise that I made to the Bank...) So, after Putting "All New" Everything in my Old House to Fix it up... I have Sold about Everything that I've Collected over a Lifetime, and Still Depleted my Funds... (Once, Again...) Unfortunately, I still have to do a Few Thousand Dollars More Work to the House. "That" is the Reason, and the "Only" Reason that I'm Going to Sell my '66 Galaxie XL... The Reason that Everything is Sooo "Dusty" is that Sheet Rock was Sanded and the Dust Settled Everywhere... So The Motor and the Whole Car is "Dusty", But it Will Clean Up Easily... (It's Just "Dust".... ha, No Harm Done...) The Whole Car will Need a Bath this Spring... *** Cleaned Up and "Spit-Polished", This Classic would Bring $25,000.oo in a Car Show this Summer...
