If you climb into the driver's seat on a Spring evening you can still hear the harmonic echoes of Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb reverberating through the classic orange plaid fabric of this little jewel. If you desire to hearken back to the days when Atari Pong was boss and the cool kids were rockin' a Sony Walkman, then this is the time machine for you. Don't know who the great Felix Wankel was? Don't bother even bidding on this all-original classic. Garage preserved by the first two owners who truly appreciated the mechanical marvel that is the Rotary Engine, but it's now time to pass it along to the third. This Series 1 RX-7 actually features an electronic ignition system (installed by Rotary Performance, Garland, TX in 2011) not included by Mazda until later series models, new brakes and master cylinder (2011) along with an updated carburetor (2014) and virtually new tires (less than 2,000 miles). Heads-up items: there is a 1.5" tear in the drivers seat upholstery, the heater doesn't work and it appears that the freon has leaked out of the A/C line (although the compressor/system was in working order last Summer).
