Vehicle Detail
What you see here is a 1971 rust free California barracuda that as far as I can see has never had any physical body damage or panel replacement anywhere. By numbers it is at 318 barracuda with air-conditioning in automatic trans on the column. If you are looking for a clean hemi donor car this is it! It currently has a 69 340 runs great, sounds awesome with X heads Weiand intake, hooker headers, dual exhaust, flow masters with turndowns. 727 trans, I had to replaced the 750 holly carburetor with Holly fuel injection, this is the same that used on most of the GMC trucks in Tahoe's in the late 90s& 2000's. 3.55 post rear end, updated mutual drum to SSBC manual disc with silicone brake fluid.Currently uses clutch fan with high-efficiency oversized crossflow aluminum radiator. Recently replaced old vinyl seat trim with this with new replacement blue Int from Legendary Interiors with the factory rare split bench seat. Dash cap is a 90s hard plastic replacement, inner door panels are original. I have headliner bows, but the car has been without a headliner since I've got it. The flat hood was removed and the current hood that it has now came off in Ohio car that had some slight rust underneath the hood (please see pictures) The car has been repainted about two decades by previous owner with an adequate paint job, & it is not The correct shade of B5 blue. Billboard stripes and go wing were added 12 years ago. Rear aftermarket valance panel for cut outs were added 12 years ago as well. I still have the original uncut factory rear valance. Trunk floor is original, if you know Ebodies, you this is quite exceptional to see one NOT replaced. Car runs and drives straight is very dependable although I haven't driven it much over the many years... too many cars in my stable downsizing and something has to give. The speedometer cable has never worked since I had it. This is a used 20-year-old car, not a show car, not a race car. I go to cruise ins and I've taken it to the Mopar nationals (which is a 2 hour drive for me)has been very dependable and gets many looks.
