1957 Nomad was purchased by a Wi. car collector/dealer at an auction in Il. in April 1979. It has not been licensed for road use since that time. According to the cowl tag, the body color should be beige & gold with matching interior. It has had a complete color change and is now black with red & black interior which had to be done before 1979. Numbers indicate it has the original drivetrain (engine T1003F = 283 w/powerglide ) It also has a posi. rear . Doors and tailgate open and close as they should. Glass is all good but the windshield has wiper scratches. The interior is very good but the headliner has a hole over the left visor. All good carpet except the trunk cover. Body panels and fenders are nice. Rear lt. quarter has a dent from being hit by a fork lift while in storage. Frame is solid. Front floors, rockers, and trunk very good. The rear floor has been patched and there is rust in front of the rear wheels under the body. ( Look at pics. ) It has a new gas tank, rear springs, power master cylinder, and front disc breaks. Motor runs good and has only been driven in and out of the garage. This car is much better than your average barn find. (my opinion ) Title has not changed owner in almost 37 years.
