Vehicle Detail

1969 Mustang S Code Mustang Mach 1 Mustang Pro Street Mustang Fastback Ford Project Up for sale today is a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 fastback pro street project. I will tell you what I know about this car to the best of my knowledge because I didn’t build it. I sent it to a shop and they did all of the work. I have owned it for 15 years. It is a factory S code car, it is a California car and was very solid. I took it to a shop that built race cars, and had the chassis built on a jig. It does not have a universal chassis kit. I had it converted to a pro street car that I was going to drive on the street and use as a show queen. I didn’t have the cage completed for that reason, it’s a street car not a drag car. In order to turn this into a drag car it would have to be changed to a strut front end and the rest of the cage would have to be finished. The car has Wilwood brakes all the way around with line lock, rack and pion steering and a winter’s rear housing with Sumer Brother axles. The engine has been set back behind the control arms. The wheels are Centerline brand. The brake, fuel, and nitrous lines are in the car. There has been no brake fluid added to the car yet. Now for the reason that I am selling the car, First I made the fatal mistake of paying too much money up front to the builder. My car sat there while he blew the money on other things and didn’t work on my car. Then to add insult to injury he passed away recently and his late wife decided she wanted all my parts more than I did. This is the reason the car is up for sale as a roller today. Among the many parts that were kept were the doors, bumper, fenders, and taillights. I bought a pair of used doors that had a small hole in each and had them fixed. I also bought the taillights and bumpers from the same car. I bought aftermarket fenders and had a friend build a temporary bracket to install them on the car. This bracket will probably have to be changed in the future. The only fiberglass parts on the car are the hood, with the cowl section built onto the hood and the front valance with a spoiler. On the inside the floors and firewall are in the car and I have to the top part of the dash, but the door panels and side panels are missing. I don’t have any of the stainless or windows (they were in the many parts that were kept by the shop), but whatever is missing can be bought at Scott Drake Mustang Parts. I had the car body scuffed and primed to keep it sealed. The other parts that go with the car are the jet coated exhaust and muffler less the headers. I decided enough was enough with this car, and have lost the love and enthusiasm for this project. That is why I am selling it. I just want to emphasize that I am selling this project as is. I have a clean California title for this car. Has Fuel cell, gas and brake pedals. Once again this is a project car sold as is.
