1973 Ford F-250 Camper Special ~Born and Raised in Sunny California~Stock Cruise O Matic Transmission~Stock 390 with Edelbrock 4BBL~Stock DANA 60 Rear End ~Front Disc Brakes ~NO RESERVE ~ Up for auction is a really nice 1973 Ford F-250 Camper Special. This truck is truly a California Truck where it began life being built in San Jose, CA in November of 1972. Over the next 43 years this truck has not left the San Francisco Bay Area, until now where it is being offered on a NO RESERVE Auction. This is a classic California grandpa truck. The Camper Special options included a 390 motor, a Dana 60 rear end, 2 battery trays, Split Rear Window, factory A/C, Front Disc Brakes. The truck is also equipped with the Ranger trim package, complete with door inserts and roof inserts as well as Ranger badges.This was grandpas truck, and for the most part really original except for the obvious. This truck was originally Medium Green and has been repainted to Blue in the 90's. The body is really straight and I cannot find any rust. The paint is in decent shape and shines nicely but is peeling in some areas. Underneath is also in excellent shape, A lot of the original paint is still very visible on both the under body as well as frame and rear end. Mechanically this truck is in good condition. The Original 390 cubic inch motor fires up every time and runs as it should. The 3 speed transmission shifts in all gears smoothly. The Carburetor has been replaced with a performance 4 BBL Edelbrock 1406 Carburetor. As well as the exhaust is dual headers into a dual Flowmaster muffler system which gives this truck a nice purrr. The Interior is a good shape as well. The floor is nice and not torn up. The seat is in decent shape except for a tear on the drivers side. It is missing the radio and the AC does not work. Otherwise all the lights and gauges work. The ranger roof is in good shape as well as the door panels.
