Vehicle Detail
Im selling a super good original Willys 4x4 pickup that has 7500 original miles. The speedometer works perfect as well the lights. The truck starts , stops, drives as it should. I recently pulled the head and ground the valves and seats ,installed a new copper/asbestos head gasket and new hoses and coolant. The clutch and brakes all work fine. The motor runs super QUIET, good oil pressure ,charges 30 amps, and runs cool. The transmission shifts well and is synchronized in all gears. Even when you pull the truck into four wheel drive it goes in easy and without any effort. The truck starts instantly at any temperature. Saturday here in Livonia it was -4 deg. F. and I started the truck to get pics and it didn't turn over twice and was running. The history of this truck is it was built new for a local fire co. as a grass/rescue truck. It was built by Young Fire Equipment in Buffalo NY . I have the original build sheet and fire departments service log that will be included in the sale. I haven't don't any paint work on the truck and my intention was to keep it as - is condition. I did remove the floor in the box and replace it with new oak planks and box ribs. You will notice on the dash board the panel behind the steering column is in primer as well to the right of the speedometer. The fire co. had gauges mounted in these areas and when they removed their equipment it left a hole I didn't like. I found another panel from a junk truck and mig. welded the hole closed on the dash. The truck has a PTO not being used on the back of the transmission with a lever inside to control it. The springs are all in good condition. The wheels are the original equipment and I have the matching spare not shown in the pictures. The truck has a new fuel pump and battery, plugs, points cap and rotor. This truck drives down the road straight as a string and is very reliable. It steers with amazing ease due to the narrow tires I guess. The gas guage does not work but I diagnosed that it needs a new gauge. This gauge and most anything you would ever want is available from a co Kaiser Willys Auto Supply . Their web page is www.kaiserwillys.com . They even have the willys script rubber floor mat this truck needs. Check it out! Call Mike with any questions or an appointment to look the rig over in person on the lift and to drive! Its on the road and can be driven home if you want to! 585 738 1541 Thank you!
