Vehicle Detail

The Good:-Runs and drives great!-Rare EURO model (High Compression Motor, Euro Bumpers)-California BAR Sticker (Passes Smog, and registered in California)-265/5 Dogleg 5spd close ratio manual transmission with a limited slip differential ($2,500 value)-Sunroof delete "Slicktop"-Manual steering-Alpina replica wheels-Sport Seats-Tune up just done (new spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, oil and filter) The Not As Good:-Wipers Work Intermittently-A couple rust spots (otherwise a very solid car)-10 footer paint job-Temp gauge in dash doesn't work (has auxiliary temp gauge that works) This is an extremely rare 1984 BMW E30 323is EURO. If you are searching for an E30, this is the one to have. With a 5spd close ratio manual transmission, a limited slip differential, sunroof delete, manual steering, manual windows and sport seats, and a high compression 2.3 liter inline six, it is the closest thing to an E30 M3 at a fraction of the price. This is a European "Grey Market" car. was imported to the States in 1986, it has been in California since at least 1995. It has the all important California BAR sticker on the door, making it legal in the state of California (passes smog with flying colors). Being a EURO model also means, that it has these really clean looking EURO bumpers, when all of the early US cars received big "Diving Board" bumpers. If you are looking for the coolest E30 that will stick out in a crowd...this is the E30 you are looking for.The car starts every time and runs and drives great. The shifter is nice and smooth and it's a pleasure to row through the gears. The car tracks straight, is very smooth at highway speeds and handles well. We just did a complete tune-up with new plugs, distributor cap, rotor, oil and filter. We also just replaced the passenger rain gutter trim, cowl vents, and BMW hood badge with NEW factory parts. The car was re-painted at some point in time, in the original shade of 'Lapis Blau'. The paint is not great and some parts are faded as seen in the pictures, but it is a very presentable looking car. There are some dents and scratches, but the car is fairly straight and it shows well. . The front right fender has a few larger dents. There is evidence of body repair on the passenger rear quarter panel, where you can see a couple cracks in the paint/bondo and some surface rust. There is a small rust spot in the passenger rear corner under the bumper. The battery tray is the only really rusty spot on the car. The floors and areas around the windows are solid. The interior is very clean and looks really nice. There is some some wear on the driver's seat, a few small dash cracks, and the instrument cluster has a couple cracks, but overall it's a really nice interior. With E30 M3s now above $50,000 the euro 323i is soon to follow. We sold our Euro 635 for $8K last year and it has already doubled in value. With a little attention, this 323i will surely do the same.
