Vehicle Detail

1997 Cosmos Black 5spd 166,000 Miles Luxo black Interior All Original OE Recent Maintenance Freshly Detailed General Up for sale is an very clean example of an unmolested e36 M3 w/ only 2 owners. As these cars age, they're more and more likely to be modified and ragged out beyond recognition. I purchased this car completely stock and spent many hours getting the car into the condition it is in today. I think you'll get a large feel for the car's quality based on these pictures. I am a long-time BMW enthusiast and members of both BMW CCA, National Auto Sport Association, and Sports Car Club of America. The car is garage kept and a non-smoker. No expense has been spared in maintaining this vehicle. If you have any questions about the vehicle at all, please don't hesitate to ask. Send me a message and I will be happy to provide you my personal contact information. Exterior The Cosmos Black paint, and the car's structural body, are in excellent shape. Far better shape than examples with half it's mileage. Every panel is original and only a few door dings that you will have to really try to find. Most of the exterior condition can be explained by the pictures. The car just received a full detail including wash, clay, wash, compound, and polish/sealant. You're all set. The detail process was very easy and did not require that much correction work. The car is not being driven, and it's staying garaged, so expect the paint to show well for you. There's a few paint chips on the nose panel and quarter from traveling the 166k miles but nothing that isn't expected. Just a few months ago, I replaced all roundels on the hood, trunk, and wheels. I also replaced the M-badge as it was faded. I installed brand new fog lights in the car as well and buffed the headlight housings. Also replaced recently was the plastic windshield cowl. B rand new windshield with new Rain-X windshield wipers. All door handle covers and gaskets were replaced with OEM parts as well. The M-Contour wheels are all in excellent shape. Minor scuffing as you can see in the pictures but not much. Interior This interior is in great condition and only has minor wear. I recently replaced the seats due to wear and installed a clean pair of used seats in the car that are in great condition as you can see and also replaced the seat back gears so they function as they should. If you are familiar with these cars, you know the seat back gears can be a common issue and a nightmare. This has already been taken care of. The door panels are flawless and show very well. The carpets, dash, and plastics are in great condition and need no attention. If you are familiar with the wood in the E36 M3's, you know they all tend to crack over time. The wood around the console is crack as you can see in the pictures but is all there. I put brand new OEM Floor mats in the car last week. Replaced all lights in OBC. The headliner was recovered just a few months ago by a local upholstery shop that I have also used for years so no need to worry about it sagging in a year. It even has the original stereo and stickers on the cluster. The radio was recently replaced with a rebuilt unit and code is included. Analyze the pictures, they'll give you the story. Only issue to be mentioned is that when I replaced the seats, the airbag light was triggered and is currently on. Mechanical No problems are here for you to fix or fret over. The car runs great and has no check lights on. Brakes have plenty of life left on them and have no issues or noises. Just installed brand new rear shock mounts last month. Shocks have been replaced at some point in time but I don't have records of it from previous owner. Suspension feels good. No knocks or clunking. Everything seems strong and no immediate attention needed.
