I am the third owner of this totally stock R100RS. There may have been other owners but I don't know about them. This beautiful bike is an original and unrestored example of the iconic wind tunnel tested sport tourer introduced in 1977. At 25,618 miles I adjusted valves and set rocker side-play, retorqued heads, changed oil/filter and checked tranny and rear end oil (which were clear). Ordered and installed Surefoot sidestand (have the original), installed new EBC HH brake pads Sept14 at 26,060 miles and Michelin Pilot Activ tires, Sept14 at 26,110 miles. (Brake pads and tires were date related and not wear related.) The bike has original side cases in excellent condition, and the Thunderchild diode board. The bike starts and runs perfectly as you would expect a bike so new to do. As you would expect there are a paint ding or two that are too small to photograph. It sits in my garage noticed but unridden and so it's time to move on.
