Vehicle Detail
Alrighty MOPAR fans, here we go again. As most of you know, 1970 is pretty much the last year for the prized MOPARs and same goes for the Darts. This car has changed hands 4 times in 4 years and not much was done with it. The last guy bought an "Indy" stroker motor, but it never made it in. One guy had the car painted, but the job wasn't that great. All the interior was taken out of it at that time. The good news is that all the original drive train remained in the car. The car had not run in years so when I got it, I put in a new fuel tank and sender unit. The engine is a 225 slant six. It received a complete tune up, plugs, points, condenser, and professional carb rebuild. It now runs and drives. Transmission shifts as it should and brakes work good. The interior needs redone and I have all the trim for the inside. The body is very good for a MOPAR of this vintage. Near perfect trunk and driver's side floor is good. A repair to passenger side was done and holding up well. I cannot find rust anywhere else on body. Not much was working on the dash when I got it... I pulled the dash apart and painted the frame, installed cap over original dash pad, and had to replace glove box door. I got a different steering wheel and did some work on gauge cluster to get some action back in dash. Dash lights, speedometer now work. Water temp and gas gauge still in operation. Wipers were not working but now they do with new wiper shaft seal installed. Headlights and tail lights work. Turn signals still have issues. This car still has minor issues, but it is a very solid platform to build on. If you don't like the slant six, add the V8 of your choice. You have time now to get it ready for the first cruise-in of 2016. Questions are welcomed, but serious inquiries only please! Will sell to US only. Thanks for looking!
