This is one of the nicest and very correct copy of a Daytona Ferrari ! Built in England in1979 by Richard Stewart. He had the luxury of taking molds off an original Ferrari Daytona Spyder, which only 122 were produced. This car is not built on a Corvette C3 chassis, but a fully built example to fool many Ferrari owners. This particular example has a steel floor pan and suspension out of a Rover 3.5 Sedan (SDI). The engine is a Rover 3.5 V8 that has been reworked to run better and sound really Gutsy, with aluminum intake and headers. The suspension is coil springs front and rear, with adjustable air shocks at the back. This car is also equipped with a very smooth Rover 5 speed gear box. This car has all the correct proportions of a real Ferrari Daytona down to its beautifully raked windshield. This small V8 delivers nice power with a great exhaust note, easy to work on and runs cool with duel electric fans. This car also has air condition, and power windows which occasionally stick but an easy fix, could use new power window motors. Car also has a few small paint blemishes and chips also easy fixes.This car has perfect black cloth top, a beautiful high quality leather and Ferrari correct suede on the dash and interior with red stitching. Switches and heater controls are original to Ferrari, along with tail lights, full 68 head light covers, side lights, windshield, door handles, and emblems are all OEM Ferrari! The parts alone on this car are worth thousands of dollars. There were only 5 of these cars built by Richard Stewart, before going on to build Lotus 7 type kit cars.
