Vehicle Detail
"POOR MAN'S PORSCHE" A rare garage find, where it had been sitting for over ten years. Our professional guess is this is an older restoration [not original paint], still presentable in all respects. It has minor damage to the right rear quarter panel, the paint is broken in a few spots after we pushed the dent out. See photos and video. Included with the sale is a clean title, some service records, and what appears to be the original owners manual. We knocked the dust off of it once we got it back to the shop, cleaned the fuel system, relined the gas tank, installed NEW carburetor and fuel sending unit. It now runs like a top. The brake system went bad from sitting, so we went through the entire brake system. It has been road driven about 10 miles, and rides and drives as a 1966 VW Karmann Ghia that could stand new tires should. It will take very little for this to be a daily driver. With new tires, I'd drive it anywhere. Fly in and drive it home. Buyer is responsible for shipping. We will assist. We have some shipping connections that have reliably shipped for us that we can share with you. Car is available for inspection. .Engine: O4 1285 cc | 78.4 cu in. | 1.3 L.Four speed manual transmission. All mechanical components appear to be in good working order.Glass is all good.MINOR damage to right rear quarter panel. This Karmann Ghia is in #3 condition [older restoration, drivable, mechanically sound]Old Cars Report Price Guide indicates a book value on this car, in it's current condition, at $8300.00. The reserve price is set much lower than that. The car can be seen and heard in the accompanying video:
